Paid Search Specialist Application

Ranksey is a digital marketing agency located in West Haven, Utah. We specialize in web design and search engine marketing (SEO/PPC). We work with a lot of different types of clients (including those in the cannabis industry), but our focus is on e-commerce brands.

Ranksey is a fast-growing, young agency looking for a Paid Search Specialist to join our team who is extremely hard-working, highly self-motivated, and very ambitious. A proven track record of experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for launching and maintaining paid search campaigns on Google for new and existing clients including but not limited to writing ad copy, designing ad graphics, adjusting budgets, measuring/monitoring performance, communicating with clients, etc. We launch and manage search, shopping, and display ads for our clients.

The ideal candidate for this position must demonstrate a proven track record of success with Google Ads and must be willing to fill in any gaps within their experience relatively quickly.

This position is a full-time position that will report directly to the PPC Manager. A regular day in this position includes a lot of independent work but a lot of teamwork as well in order to execute PPC strategies. There will be regular video Zoom calls/meetings with other members of the team for collaboration.

The candidate hired for this position will work from home (remotely) indefinitely. Compensation for this position will vary based on experience. As a young start-up, every hire at Ranksey has a lot of upward mobility and opportunity for advancement.

Candidates must speak English and must be located in the United States. Interviews will take place via Zoom.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Proven paid advertising experience preferred – 1-2 years
• Google Analytics and Google Ads certified
• Working knowledge of Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads
• WordPress experience (not required, but a plus)
• Ability to understand search intent with keywords
• Strong writing and creative writing skills
• Graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud) are a plus
• Ability to distill data and metrics into actionable insights that support clear recommendations
• Must own a computer/laptop with internet access (Ranksey will provide all necessary software)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong social and communication skills
• Time management skills
• Ability to perform without a set schedule
• Ability to work from home productively without supervision
• Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
• Ability to keep up with latest trends and software updates
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibilities

• Create, launch, and manage ROI-focused Google ad campaigns for new and existing clients
• Write compelling ad copy with a focus on driving conversions
• Continually optimize PPC and paid search campaign components including keyword strategy, ad copy, bid prices, cost per conversion, cost per click, audience optimization, etc.
• Conduct thorough keyword research/analysis, website research, ad grouping and audience targeting
• Define, measure, and evaluate relevant PPC and paid search KPIs
• Set up and oversee conversion tracking for all campaigns
• Create and send monthly reports to clients
• Provide clients ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance
• Make budget and campaign recommendations focused on increasing client spend and improving ROI
• Monitor ad-spend and update campaign budgets
• Research and implement the latest PPC strategies
• Ensure service and product delivery meets industry and company best practices
• Collaborate with PPC team
