Borboleta is a professional lash extension brand that sells professional lash extension supplies to lash artists online. They also provide professional lash extension certification training to aspiring lash artists across the country. In the last 2 years, they have also developed lash care products that they sell directly to consumers.

The Challenge

Borboleta came to us for help creating and implementing an SEO strategy for their new consumer facing website with an emphasis on their new lash serum product that they were launching. We faced a big challenge starting with a brand-new website with no authority and trying to build an entirely new audience for a consumer extension of their brand. Furthermore, due to regulations on their lash serum product, we had to avoid using specific keywords and content angles in order to stay within FDA compliance.

Our Approach

As soon as the consumer website was launched, we quickly got to work correcting very important technical SEO issues, optimizing existing content, and providing direction over their in-house content writing team. Because “lash serum” keywords are extremely competitive, our SEO strategy consisted of a lot of backlink building to increase our authority with Google.

The Results

So far, we’ve been able to increase store revenue and organic traffic exponentially and we’ve been able to get their lash serum product page on the first page of Google for the term “lash serum” that gets searched 30k times per month. Our strategy is still ongoing, but we’re very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish for Borboleta!
